This machine has an accumulator head that extrudes a variety of plastic materials such as HDPE and is fed by a 75 mm adiabatic extruder, whose thermal insulation reduces heat loss to the factory environment by 90%, and its spiral design prevents overheating. In this machine, the mold is changed from above. The upper platform that houses the extrusion die head moves back and clears the area on the clamp. All movements are controlled by electric motors and by position transducers. This makes it easy to quickly and accurately return the extrusion die head to the correct position stored in the cycle command for each die. The electric motors on the mold tool are adjusted from the operator panel.
Safer and easier replacement of the accumulator die head is facilitated by a pivoting arm that supports the head and lifts it to release the mandrel body.
