A dosing masterbatch or feeder is designed to add minor material to the main material stream at the throat of an injection or extrusion machine. Common components include choke adapter, DC motor, measuring spiral and speed control/interface.

Dosing is triggered or controlled by the processing machine itself. In injection molding, as the machine rotates, a dose calibrated to the shot size of the molding machine and the required amount of additive are introduced into the gravity flow of other materials by a rotating spiral. In extrusion, since the machine works continuously, a fixed dose is added at a certain rate and synchronized with the speed of the extruder.

Masterbatch dosing system

The in-line gravity masterbatch dosing system ensures optimal dosing in the extruder process in extrusion and injection molding machines. This system can be upgraded to a multi-component dosing system to dose up to six additives simultaneously.

For high output processes, our engineering department developed the dozer output. This special masterbatch dosing system has a capacity between 50 kg/h and 1000 kg/h. Of course, a high level of precision is guaranteed during masterbatch dosing.

The smallest masterbatch capacity that can be dosed with in-line feeders is not less than 0.1 kg/h.

Simultaneous dosage of masterbatch and regrinding material

With this masterbatch dosing system, it is possible to dose masterbatch with regrinding materials. This technology ensures a lower weight dose of waste. It detects the amount of regrind and adjusts the masterbatch dosage automatically.

The SCM series volume dozer is suitable for injection molding and blow molding of plastic extrusion, which can be used for automatic proportional mixing of raw materials, grinding materials, masterbatch or additives. The injection molding mode supports multiple external signal input modes. Two doses are available for multi-component applications. This masterbatch dozer can work with autoloader to automatically transfer the masterbatch to the dosing unit.
